Ministry of Higher Education Announces the Launch of the Application Form for the Public Private Higher Education Channel (Parallel Education)

The Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research has announced the launch of the electronic application form for the Public Private Higher Education Channel (Parallel) in public universities for the academic year 2026/2027.

The application regulations stipulate that the applicant's average must not be lower than the minimum central admission threshold by 3 degrees for Medical Group colleges, 4 degrees for Engineering Group colleges, 5 degrees for Science colleges, and 6 degrees for all other specializations.

The Ministry permits graduates from the two academic years 2024/2025 and 2025/2026 to apply, while confirming that a student's previous admission through central, direct, evening, or private admission channels will be canceled once they commence their studies under the Parallel Education channel, and they forfeit the right to return to their previous admission.

The Ministry clarified that electronic applications via the "Qudim" platform application or the Department of Studies, Planning, and Follow-up portal (https://dirasat.mohesr.gov.iq) will remain open until Tuesday, October 27, 2026.
