Master's Thesis at the University of Basrah Examines the Effect of Peganum harmala Seed Extracts on Certain Genetic and Biochemical Traits of Chicks

A Master's thesis was discussed at the College of Education/Al-Qurna, University of Basrah, entitled "The Effect of Aqueous and Alcoholic Extracts of Peganum harmala Seeds on Certain Genetic and Biochemical Traits of Chicks," submitted by the student Ibtihal Adnan Raysan.

The study aimed to demonstrate the effects of aqueous and alcoholic extracts of Peganum harmala (Harmal) seeds on various genetic and biochemical characteristics of chicks. It also evaluated the potential of utilizing these extracts as natural feed additives to help enhance physiological and immunological performance.

The study concluded that different concentrations of both aqueous and alcoholic Peganum harmala seed extracts produced positive effects on several genetic and biochemical traits by improving immunological and physiological indicators. These findings confirm the potential of using these extracts as protective feed additives in poultry farming.
